The F***ing Marines Are Coming To Occupy Wall Street

The Marines are coming to Wall Street

You read it right. THE Marines are coming to Wall Street. The ones that took an oath to protect America. And apparently these guys take it seriously! Granted many may not be active duty but you know what they say, “Once a Marine, always a Marine.”

Actually, do they say that? Just seems fitting. They do say “Semper Fi (Semper Fidelis)” meaning “Always Faithful” and they definitely are faithful.

But you might be surprised to hear who these Marines are protecting at the Occupy Wall Street protest. Some folks think of our military as a well-funded group of lobotomized automatons that only following orders directly given to them by their masters. Nothing could be further from the truth.

We often forget that these men and women are flesh and blood humans with minds of their own. And in the case of the Occupy Wall Street protests, these Marines are there to protect the protestors from the police.

In a post on his Facebook page, Ward Reilly reposted a Reddit comment from an undisclosed commenter titled “Calling all Military Veterans of Reddit. We took an oath to protect the people and the constitution of the United States of America. Meet me on Wall St.” In the post the commenter says:

I’m heading up there tonight in my dress blues. So far, 15 of my fellow marine buddies are meeting me there, also in Uniform.

I want to send the following message to Wall St and Congress:

I didn’t fight for Wall St. I fought for America. Now it’s Congress’ turn.

My true hope, though, is that we Veterans canact as first line of defense between the police and the protester. If they want to get to some protesters so they can mace them, they will have to get through the Fucking Marine Corps first. Let’s see a cop mace abunch of decorated war vets …

We all took an oath to uphold, protect and defend the constitution of this country. That’s what we will be doing.

Like we said, they take that oath thing seriously.

The post has garnered so much support and publicity that it now has and official piss post from The Washington Times titled “TRR: Screwball Hippies think the Marines are coming.” And no we’re not linking to it.
