Stephen Colbert Loses It Over Fox and Friends Suggestion That Pap Smears Are Offered At Walgreen’s

In an attempt to devalue the services provided by Planned Parenthood, on Saturday’s Fox & Friends, co-hosts Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade had the wherewithal to suggest that Walgreen’s offers services like pap smears and breast exams. Seeing as they have probably never needed it, it is unlikely that they have ever actually gone to one of Walgreen’s Take Care Clinics to have their cervix examined.

Well as it turns out, nobody has! According to Media Matters, a Walgreens spokesperson told them that they do not offer such services. “Neither Walgreens, nor its in-store healthcare clinics, Take Care Clinics, offer pap smears or breast exams,” said Take Care Clinic spokeswoman Lauren Nestler.

So if you’ve received a pap smear or a breast exam at Walgreen’s, you may want to contact your local police department.

Nevertheless, the ridiculous claim by Doocy and Kilmeade provided ample fodder for Stephen Colbert on Monday’s Colbert Report. It was so hilarious, Colbert couldn’t even keep a straight face.
