Jon Huntsman is Manchurian Candidate Says Ron Paul, Rick Santorum and Mitt Romney… So Far

Jon Huntsman Manchurian Candidate Ron PaulWho the eff knows?
Ron Paul’s presidential campaign is on fire right now defending accusations of having released a video calling presidential candidate Jon Huntsman the “Manchurian Candidate”, suggesting that he has Chinese, not American, values, and that Huntsman’s adopted daughters are not really “adopted” (wink, wink, nudge, nudge, get it?). The alleged makers of the video which was released on YouTube on Wednesday have not officially been identified but one was reportedly seen late last night having been pulled over by police officers. The only identifying attributes were the inebriated man’s continual exclamations of “RON PAUL 2012!”

Ron Paul and his campaign have denied any knowledge of the making of this video or the posting of it on YouTube. Paul spokeswoman Kate Schackai even went so far as to condemn it saying, “We had nothing to do with it and we think it’s completely distasteful. Nobody who actually supports Dr. Paul’s principles would put together something like that.”

We decided to look into Ms. Schackai’s claims that no Paul supporter would do anything like that and headed straight for the YouTube comments. We were sure we’d find horrified posts wondering what type of sewer slime could possibly create and upload a video like this. Instead we found these (in no particular order):

  1. Why isn’t the media reporting the serious evidence indicating this video is a fake distributed by the Huntsman campaign…. That’s a way more serious allegation (and news stoy) than the original narrative that some stupid Ron Paul supporter on his computer in his basement sketched together an ad everyone else (including other Paul supporters) thinks is ridiculous. – Spudst3r
  2. Lol, and there is no other videos uploaded by this uploader. It’s Huntsman’s daughters that made this. – WestSkier11
  3. whats crazy is that Jon Huntsman himself and his daughters went along with this tactic—Political slime to use his adopted daughters as political playing chips…shame shame shame. – ashokrayvenn
  4. I’ll present the same challenge to you as I do to everyone. Prove his authorship or editorial control beyond just “HIS NAME IS ON THE NEWSLETTER,” and I will gladly decry him from the highest mountain. – GloryBound87

But the award for crazy goes to (drumroll)… schwanke87 who had this to post:

Hunstman hired a troll. Search these channels on YT.

Same video, description, and created at the same time. All referred first from jon2012.com

We here at Restoring Truthiness take accusations of assholery on the part of politicians seriously! So we looked into schwanke87’s claims. Aside from the fact that the original poster’s YouTube channel was named NHLiberty4Paul, and schwanke87’s listings exclude “Liberty”, the video’s themselves are almost identical. The only differences are at the very end with the last title screen. The original says “American Values and LIberty, Vote Ron Paul” (sic). The other two have replaced the text “Ron Paul” with each respective candidate’s name.

This is terribly difficult to do especially if you don’t have something like RealPlayer which can download pretty much any video from YouTube or anywhere else for that matter. On top of that you need some uber expensive video editing software kinda like Windows Movie Maker which is out of my price range at $0.00.

Then of course you need to know how to spell. Just kidding! You just need to copy and paste.

So you see it’s really hard to recreate a video on YouTube.

Okay, back to schwanke87’s claim. We also checked his/her chronology and noticed that he/she may have missed first grade calendar skills. He/She claims that the channels or videos were created at the same time. Here are the facts:

  • NHLibertyPaul – Latest Activity, Jan 4, 2012 (which was uploading the video); Date Joined, Jan 4, 2012
  • NH4MittRomney – Latest Activity, Jan 6, 2012 (which was COMMENTING ON THE RON PAUL VIDEO just after posting their video at about 1:30 PST), Date Joined, Jan 6, 2012
  • NH4Santorum – Latest Activity, Jan 6, 2012 (which was COMMENTING ON THE RON PAUL VIDEO just after posting their video at about 1:30 PST), Date Joined, Jan 6, 2012

So, technically, if you believe that Jan. 4th and Jan 6th are the “same time” then you’d be right. But since we live in the real world and not the 11th dimension along with the Third Eagle of the Apocalypse and the Co-Prophet of the End Times (same dude btw), they are not the same time.

The final claim schwanke87 makes is that “All (were) referred first from jon2012.com”. We checked that out too and it’s seems schwanke87 has been hitting the hooka pretty damn hard. A quick check at NH4MittRomney shows that there hasn’t been ANY referral activity since both pages display “no statistics available” when you try and view the statistics. None available. What schwanke87 apparently saw was all sorts of goodies including a referral from jon2012.com, Ronald Reagan in a hot tub, flying salamis, a talking Sscooby-Doo look a like, and a whole lot more. See the video below.

I’m not saying who uploaded what to where (that’s a private matter that should be remain between a supporter and a presidential candidate – Ron Paul and I agree on that – I think). I’m just saying some Ron Paul supporters truly love their candidate.

Here’s our version of the video with our own special ending. The rest, we swear to goat cheese is 100% from the original source:
